The purpose of the present invention is to provide a vehicle number recognition control system using an image monitoring system, which displays an image obtained by capturing a moving image and a still image on one screen and monitors the image, and a control method thereof. According to the present invention, the vehicle number recognition control system comprises: a capturing module (2) which captures a moving image and a still image together and performs an operation function including a security function, a parking regulation function, a traffic signal violation detection function, and a pedestrian signal guidance function by using the captured image; a control unit (4) which analyzes the moving picture and the still image captured by the capturing module (2), wherein the control unit (4) performs setting so that a control signal is transmitted to the capturing module (2) after a situation of a captured spot is determined by analyzing the moving image, the captured vehicle number is recognized by analyzing the still image, the moving image of the spot situation and the still image from which the vehicle number is recognized are synthesized in real time, and the synthesized image is provided as one image; and a control server (6) which receives the analyzed moving image and the analyzed still image from the control unit (4), monitors the situation of the capturing spot, stores a collected vehicle number in a database, and confirms the collected vehicle number when necessary. Therefore, it is possible to capture a moving image of surrounding situation while capturing a still image for vehicle number recognition, to recognize the vehicle number by acquiring a specific section where a vehicle moves as a still image while capturing an image of surroundings in which a camera is installed, and to display the vehicle number on a video screen, thereby achieving efficient monitoring. |
