PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic analyzer capable of obtaining high analysis precision by reducing droplets sticking on a tip of a bar-like member, and an elevating operation method for a bar-like member of the automatic analyzer.SOLUTION: An automatic analyzer comprises a bar-like member 12a, a driving part 12c, and a control mechanism 30. The driving part 12c elevates and lowers the bar-like member 12a in directions in which the bar-like member 12a is inserted into and extracted from a container 24. The control mechanism 30 controls the driving part 12c to elevate the bar-like member 12a after lowering the bar-like member 12a so that a tip part of the bar-like member reaches a first position in a liquid L, to stop elevating the bar-like member 12a for a predetermined time when at least the tip part reaches a second position where the tip part does not separate from the liquid, and to elevate the bar-like member 12a up to a position where the tip part separates from the liquid L the predetermined time later.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
