The invention relates to a septic tank meant for dwelling houses located in zones that lack sewage system connection. According to the invention, the septic tank consists of a cylinder-shaped reservoir (1) made of fiberglass-reinforced polyesters, having a first compartment (A) confined by a half (c) of a transverse wall (3) and an axial wall (4), wherein the first waste water pretreatment stage takes place, a second compartment (B) confined by the other half (d) of the transverse wall (3) and the axial wall (4), ensuring the second waste water pretreatment stage and settling towards a third compartment (C) confined by the transverse wall (3) and the rest of the reservoir (1), where the vertical axial wall (4) has some horizontal rows (e) of holes arranged at a preset height so as to form in the first compartment (A) a lower zone (f) for settling solid wastes, an upper zone (g) for floating elements and a middle zone (h) with the rows (e) of holes allowing waste water to pass into the second compartment (B) where a second settling takes place, the solid wastes remained in suspension in water from the previous settling in the first compartment (A) being deposited onto the bottom of the compartment (B), the decanted waste water passing through some rows (i) of holes cut in the upper part of the transverse wall (3) towards the third compartment (C) where the third settling of the pretreated water takes place, the reservoir (1) being provided with a manhole consisting of a cylindrical tube (6) the vertical axis of which is placed above the meeting point of the transverse wall (3) and axial wall (4), the said cylindrical tube (6) having a width which is set so that it provides access to the three compartments (A, B and C) for scooping purposes. |
