An image processing device is provided. The image processing device performs a rendering process on a 3D model using a direct light ray, and at least one indirect light ray. The device performs a light shading process and a surface shading process at first and second resolutions, respectively. The first resolution can be lower than the second resolution. The image processing device comprises: a first shader which performs a light shading calculation related to at least one optical source on a 3D model on a first resolution; a second shader which performs a surface shading calculation on the 3D model at a second resolution different from the first resolution; and a processor which combines a light shading result on the first resolution with a surface shading result on the second resolution to generate a rendering result.
