The method comprises the steps: a) guiding a ply (2) of filtering media in an advancement direction, b) providing two crushing rollers (7) which can be moved in a direction transverse to the direction of advancement, c) independently ordering the movement of the rollers (7) to form a first series of embossed zones (10) at the intersection with every other preforming line (6) of the ply (2) and a second series of embossed zones (10) on each preforming line (6) having an embossed zone (10) of the first series, d) providing two independently movable glue nozzles (12), e) depositing a bead of glue (14) to connect the embossed zones (10) of the first and second series, f) folding the ply (2) of filtering media along the preforming lines (6), and g) performing a separating cut of the filtering element (19) folded into unit filters. |
