The present invention relates to a power quality compensating apparatus capable of stabilizing power supplied from a new renewable energy generator like a wind power generator. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the power quality compensating apparatus comprises: a super capacitor in which charging or discharging is processed; a converter unit for charging the super capacitor or discharging the super capacitor to output discharge power; and a compensating power converter for generating compensating effective power by receiving the discharge power for the amount of effective power supplied to a grid to be present within a preset threshold range when the compensating power converter is in an effective power mode for supplying the effective power to the grid connected to the new renewable energy generator.
