Provided are a method for producing a quantum dot, an allow-shell quantum dot produced according to the method, and a backlight unit including the allow-shell quantum dot. The method comprises the steps of: obtaining a first mixed solution by adding a Group 12 element compound precursor, an organic solvent, and unsaturated fatty acid in a first reaction tank, and heating the first mixed solution; obtaining a second mixed solution by adding a Group 16 element compound in a liquid-type first surfactant; adding the second mixed solution in the heated first mixed solution; synthesizing and separating an alloy quantum dot by refining a material obtained by adding the second mixed solution in the heated first mixed solution; obtaining a third mixed solution by adding a Group 12 element compound precursor, an organic solvent, and unsaturated fatty acid in a second reaction tank, and heating the third mixed solution; obtaining a fourth mixed solution by adding a Group 16 element compound precursor in a liquid-type second surfactant; adding the alloy quantum dot and the forth mixed solution in the heated third mixed solution; and synthesizing and separating an alloy-shell quantum dot by refining a material obtained by adding the alloy quantum dot and the fourth mixed solution in the heater third mixed solution. According to the present invention, the kinds and added amounts of reactants including a surfactant are adjusted, so an alloy-shell quantum dot having a uniform size may be synthesized. |
