Provided are a multilayered ceramic electronic component capable of preventing reliability from being reduced by having set porosity between an active area and a cover area, and a manufacturing method thereof. The manufacturing method of the multilayered ceramic electronic component comprises the following steps of: preparing a dielectric layer including a plurality of internal electrodes stacked to face each other inside the internal electrodes; and forming a ceramic main body by sintering the dielectric layer. The dielectric layer includes: an active area which is a capacity forming unit; and a cover area which is provided in an upper surface of the active area which is a stacked direction of the internal electrodes and a lower surface facing the upper surface and is a capacity non-forming unit. Preparing the dielectric layer is to set a ratio of the number of pores in the cover area to the number of pores in the active area after the dielectric layer is sintered, to be smaller than or equal to 30. |
