A water outlet (1) for allowing water drainage from a roof surface comprising an overflow arrangement. The water outlet (1) is covered by a first strainer in the form of a domed grill (15) to prevent debris such as leaves from entering the water outlet (1). The outlet may further comprise additional strainer features (10). The outlet includes a barrier in the form of conduit (28) which extends above the roof surface, but is of a length that fits within the firs strainer. The conduit (28) acts to restrict water entering the outlet (1) until the water level reaches the top of the conduit (28). The conduit (28) may be removable from the outlet arrangement to allow the outlet to act as the primary drainage instead of an overflow. The overflow is intended to form a back up drainage should the primary drainage, such as another outlet without the conduit (28), become blocked. |
