The invention relates to a valve which comprises a housing (4) defining at least three openings (O40, O42, O44) for the fluid to pass through, a thermostatic element, which is arranged inside the housing and which contains a mixture of thermally expandable materials expanding over a first temperature range and a second temperature range. The thermostatic element comprises a portion (142) that is stationary relative to the housing and a portion (140) that is movable along a central axis (X2) relative to the stationary portion. Said valve also comprises a slide valve which is axially movable by engaging with the movable portion of the thermostatic element, a first return (C20) spring (20) of the movable portion of the thermostatic element, and a second return spring (16) of the slide valve, which is inserted axially between the slide valve and the movable portion of the thermostatic element, which slackens (C16) via the action (C20) of the first spring and which does not offer any further resistance to the first spring beyond a certain distance travelled, such that the movable portion of the thermostatic element is retained exclusively by the first spring. |
