The invention relates to a household food preparation appliance comprising a base (1) intended to be placed flat on a work surface, a lower arm (2) borne by the base (1) and an upper arm (3) comprising a rear end connected to the lower arm (2) by a hinge means. The upper arm (3) comprises at least one drive mechanism (42) rotated by a motor (4) and intended to be coupled to a food processing accessory, said drive mechanism (42) opening at a lower face of the upper arm (3). The appliance is characterised in that the upper arm (3) can occupy a folded position, in which the upper arm (3) extends along the length of the lower arm (2) with the lower face of the upper arm (3) positioned facing the lower arm (2), and in that the lower arm (2) comprises a through-hole (21) providing access to the drive mechanism (42) when the upper arm (3) is in the folded position. |
