摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine control device capable of reliably and promptly making an internal combustion engine into a cylinder deactivation operation state.SOLUTION: A device for controlling an internal combustion engine provided with a cylinder deactivation mechanism switched over between a first state of activating all cylinders and a second state of deactivating a cylinder to be deactivated in response to a switching indication, executes a torque reserve control, when determining to deactivate the cylinder to be deactivated, to increase a degree of throttle opening to increase an intake quantity of the internal combustion engine up to a target intake quantity and to cancel an increase of output torque in response to an increase of the intake quantity by retarding ignition timing. Furthermore, when determining to deactivate the cylinder to be deactivated, this device outputs a switching indication to switch the cylinder deactivation mechanism to the second state first time T1 before timing (timing after Tdr) at which the intake quantity is predicted to converge into the target intake quantity (S360), and issues a request to implement fuel cut to the cylinder to be deactivated second time T2 before the above timing (S390).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
