PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical multiplexing relay system by an optical transmission method which is easy to apply a MIMO technology.SOLUTION: The optical multiplexing relay system includes: a plurality of mobile stations 11; a plurality of relay stations 13 each receiving a broadcast wave transmitted from each mobile station; and a demodulation unit 14 for receiving a signal transmitted from each relay station 13. The mobile station 11 includes two transmission antennas 5a, 5b for transmitting signals of an identical frequency band, respectively. With the provision of two reception antennas 6a, 6b, the relay station 13 performs signal transmission using the MIMO technology between the mobile station 11 and the relay station 13. The relay station 13 receives a broadcast wave from the mobile station, and after performing signal processing by signal processing circuits 8a, 8b, respectively, converts into optical signals having different wavelengths for each reception antenna, using E/O conversion devices 9a, 9b, and multiplexes the optical signals by a multiplexer 60 to obtain a wavelength multiplex optical signal, and then transmits to a modulation unit 14 through an optical line 19.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
