PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording apparatus in which performance for removing an ink or other foreign materials adhered to a nozzle surface of an ink-jet head is improved without complication of an apparatus and increase of cost.SOLUTION: An ink-jet recording apparatus 1, in which an image is formed by discharging a heated ink on a recording medium P, includes: an ink-jet head 241 for discharging an ink from nozzles 2411; a heater 2401 for heating the ink-jet head 241; a cleaning part 27 for wiping a nozzle surface 241a by contacting the nozzle surface 241a of the ink-jet head 241; and a control section 40 for controlling the heater 2401 and the cleaning part 27. The nozzle surface 241a is wiped by the cleaning part 27 in a state that the control section 40 controls the heater 2401 to heat the ink-jet head 241 so that the temperature of the ink-jet head 241 is higher than the set temperature on an ink discharge time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
