Provided is a terminal (1) for connectors which is capable of having improved corrosion resistance even in cases where a metal base material (21) is composed of Fe or an Fe-based alloy. This terminal (1) for connectors is configured of a terminal material (2) that has a plating film (22) on the surface of the metal base material (21). The metal base material (21) is composed of Fe or an Fe-based alloy. The terminal (1) for connectors has a base material exposed part (3) where the metal base material (21) is exposed and a coating film (4) that is composed of a rust preventive oil covering the surface of the base material exposed part (3). The base material exposed part (3) is configured to be present in a punched fracture surface (31) that is formed by punching the terminal material (2) and/or in a bent part (32) that is formed by bending the terminal material (2).
