PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve user's convenience by providing an appropriate panoramic image in a photographing apparatus (a revolving machine and such) capable of operating greater than or equal to 90 degrees in a tilt direction from an installation surface.SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes: acquisition means for acquiring an image photographed with photographing means capable of photographing by changing a photographing direction with a panning operation accompanied by a rotating operation and a tilting operation; and generation means for generating a panoramic image in a range in which photographing is possible with the photographing means with the panning operation and the tilting operation by using the acquired image with the acquisition means. The generation means, when an operation range of the tilting operation lies across a rotation axis of the panning operation, makes a range corresponding to the tilting operation of a panoramic image to be a range that contains from a start point of the tilting operation to the rotation axis of the panning operation but does not contain an end point of the tilting operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
