PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel for chisel capable of achieving enhancement of durability and a chisel.SOLUTION: A steel for chisel constituting chisel 10 contains 0.39 mass% to 0.41 mass% of carbon, 0.20 mass% to 0.50 mass% of silicon, 0.60 mass% to 1.10 mass% of manganese, 0.003 mass% to 0.008 mass% of sulfur, 0.90 mass% to 1.20 mass% of chromium, 0.40 mass% to 0.60 mass% of molybdenum, 0.01 mass% to 0.05 mass% of niobium and the balance iron with inevitable impurities.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
