PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate hydrogen in a large amount over a long period.SOLUTION: Reaction containers 10, 50 made of stainless steel which are installed therein with a reaction agent 44 at least including alkali metal and oxygen such as sodium hydroxide (or potassium hydroxide) are locally heated to scatter some fine grains of the reaction agent into the reaction spaces S, S. The inside of the reaction containers 10, 50 are sucked by a vacuum pump 25 via a cold trap 20 so as to become a decompression state, and hydrogen and water vapor are separated by the cold trap 20, and only the hydrogen is removed to the outside.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
