The present invention relates to a monitoring device for a power transmission line. According to the present invention, the monitoring device comprises: a device body installed in a power transmission line; a detecting part installed in the device body to detect radiation; a collection processing part installed in the device body, and connected with the detecting part to process data detected by the detecting part; and a wireless communication modem installed in the device body to be connected with the collection processing part, transmitting the data, processed by the collection processing part to a collecting device. The present invention is capable of detecting and monitoring harmful substances in a position in which the power transmission line is installed.
