摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a nickel hydrogen battery electrode, by which a nickel hydrogen battery electrode with high resistance against oxidation corrosion can be manufactured at low cost.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a nickel hydrogen battery electrode is used for a nickel hydrogen battery. The method comprises: a cobalt oxyhydroxide film formation step where a film of cobalt oxyhydroxide is formed on at least part of the surface of an active material of an electrode; a reduction step where a potential is put on the electrode in an alkali aqueous solution to reduce at least part of the cobalt oxyhydroxide into cobalt; and a conducting path formation step where the electrode is immersed in a noble metal salt-containing liquid solution containing a salt of a noble metal to substitute at least part of the cobalt resulting from the reduction with the noble metal, and to form, by the noble metal, a conducting path in the cobalt oxyhydroxide film.SELECTED DRAWING: None
