摘要 In one embodiment, the present invention is a method of preparing a bioactive filamentary fixation device in situ, including (a) providing a filamentary fixation device including a sleeve member and a filament; (b) providing a physiological solution; (c) providing bioactive material; (d) wetting the sleeve of the fixation device with the physiological solution to produce a wetted sleeve; and (e) applying the bioactive material to the wetted sleeve to coat the sleeve, thus producing a bioactive filamentary fixation device at the time of surgery in situ.
