Disclosed are a voltage regulation method and apparatus for a power amplifier. The method is applied to a multi-mode base station, and comprises: acquiring an average power and a peak-to-average ratio of a transmission signal; obtaining a peak power of the transmission signal according to the average power and the peak-to-average ratio; and regulating a working voltage of the power amplifier according to peak power and a saturation power of the power amplifier.
