PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a transfer time to transfer a packet to a next control unit.SOLUTION: An image forming device 10 comprises: an apparatus group 300 such as an image forming unit 320 for forming an image; and a master control unit 100 and a plurality of slave control units 200 that control the formation of images in the image forming unit 320. The plurality of slave control units 200 are connected in series via a serial communication line, and the forehand slave control unit 210 is connected with the master control unit 100 via the serial communication line. On acquiring a packet generated by the master control unit 100, each slave control unit 200 converts part of the packet from a serial signal to a parallel signal, and performs processing to accept the packet as a packet destined to itself if the packet is destined to itself, or discards the packet or transfers the packet to the succeeding slave control unit 200 connected via the serial communication line if the packet is not destined to itself.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
