A tire curing press is used to manufacture different types of tires everyday, which requires frequent changing of molds, resulting in relatively extended heating periods involving high energy consumption. In order to reduce mounting times, so-called containers have been developed into which the molds are inserted. In older machines, the removal of the molds or containers very often still requires manual intervention. Especially the removal of the mold or container from the tire curing press causes contact problems because the molds or containers retain relatively high residual heat. The aim of the invention is to make sure that the container maintains a long-term insulating effect in order to save energy and largely avoid contact problems. The device made of a highly heat-resistant insulating material is supported on the upper side of the container and is formed by a jacket-type member which snugly fits around the cylindrical container. |
