This invention relates to outer garments and in particular, but not necessarily entirely, to a convertible jacket system that can be configured for use by any one or more of the following: single adult, pregnant adult or adult and infant while using a baby carrier; defined as a supporting device worn by an adult for holding an infant close to the torso. In one aspect the invention comprises a convertible jacket system comprising: a base jacket outer garment extending either to the waist or the hips, which may have sleeves and a fastening down the front, and an expandable, centre panel, which may be selectively attachable to the base jacket, wherein the convertible jacket system may be configurable to multiple in use configurations to accommodate a single adult, a pregnant adult or an adult with baby carrier and infant. |
