PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device that ensures portability and can read images with image quality ensured.SOLUTION: An image reading device includes a housing 2 that has a rectangular opening 11 on the bottom face 10, an imaging part 70 that photographs a medium P, and a plurality of light sources 50 that are arranged on the inside 12 of the housing. The housing 2 includes at least four cover parts 15 that correspond to the sides of the opening 11; of two pairs of the cover parts 15 opposing to each other of the four cover parts 15, one pair of the cover parts 15 are inclined cover parts 20 and the other pair of the cover parts 15 are connected cover parts 30; the two inclined cover parts 20 can be switched between an open state and a folded state by one of the inclined cover parts 20 moving relative to the other of the inclined cover parts 20; two connected cover parts 30 enter a space between the inclined cover parts 20 by deforming relative to the two inclined cover parts 20 when the inclined cover parts 20 are in the folded state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 |
