PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve communication quality between power line modems connected to a power line network constituted by a plurality of low-voltage distribution lines.SOLUTION: A remote meter reading system 1 comprises: low-voltage distribution lines 6A, 6Bextending from the secondary sides of transformers 5A, 5B, respectively; a master unit modem 8A provided in a first power meter 7 connected to the low-voltage distribution line 6A; a first slave unit modem 8B that is provided in a second power meter 7 connected to the low-voltage distribution line 6Aand disposed farther from the transformer 5A than the first power meter 7 and performs power line communication with the master unit modem 8A through the low-voltage distribution line 6A; a second slave unit modem 8B that is provided in a third power meter 7 connected to the low-voltage distribution line 6Band performs power line communication with the master unit modem 8A through the low-voltage distribution lines 6A, 6Band a bypass signal line 17; and a signal conditioner 15 that is provided on the low-voltage distribution line 6Aand at a position farther from the transformer 5A than the first power meter 7 and includes at least one magnetic core.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
