PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development device capable of adjusting a gap between a developer carrier and a layer thickness restriction member with high precision after being assembled on the whole.SOLUTION: A development device comprises: a development container 84 which contains a developer and has a light-transmissive transmission part 83a at least in part; a developing sleeve 49 which is held rotatably by the development container 84, and carries and conveys a developer inside the development container 84; a developing blade 88 which restricts a layer thickness of the developer carried by the developing sleeve 49y; and a second carrier screw 92 which is provided inside the development container 84, and regularly reflects a light beam entering the development container 84 after being transmitted through at least a part of the transmission part 83a from outside the development container 84 to emit the light beam to outside the development container 84 through a gap G between the developing sleeve 49y and developing blade 88.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
