PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise a player's expectations about a special game by shifting a performance background image.SOLUTION: While a first normal performance background image is displayed, a game machine shifts the image to a second normal performance background image when normal shift is performed and shifts the image to a third normal performance background image when special shift of higher degree in expectation than the normal shift is performed. In the case of the normal shift and special shift, after the background image (background image before the shift) in display is shielded by displaying a shield image (sliding doors' image 510), the shield image is erased from a display screen so as to enable a player to visually recognize the background image of a shift destination.
