Provided is a receiving device which, using an MIMO transmission scheme, receives a transmitted signal from a transmitting device, said receiving device comprising: a stream selection unit which selects a fixed stream from streams which the transmitting device has transmitted, divides the streams other than the fixed stream into a first stream group and a second stream group, and generates at least one instance of stream information formed from the fixed stream, the first stream group, and the second stream group; and a transmission candidate search unit which, for each instance of the stream information, generates at least one candidate for the fixed stream, generates a linear detection signal of the first stream group on the basis of the candidate of the fixed stream, and determines a candidate of the stream of the second stream group on the basis of the already generated candidates, thereby searching for a transmission candidate which is a candidate of the transmitted stream. |
