The invention relates to an electric machine consisting of a stator and a rotor. Said stator comprises a laminated core with grooves for receiving winding rods, said grooves being closed by means for holding the winding rods. The electric machine also comprises a plurality of sensors for monitoring the gap between the stator and rotor, said sensors being mounted on some of the means for holding the winding rods, such the surface of the sensors, which faces away from the inner chamber of the stator, is set back with respect to the inner surface of the stator. |
