Provided is a power conversion device (100) that converts power between direct current units (2, 2, 2) and three-phase alternating current (3). Each of a first phase conversion device, a second phase conversion device, and a third phase conversion device (1, 1, 1) comprises a DC/DC conversion circuit (10) and a single-phase power conversion circuit (11). A control unit (12) sets each of the first phase conversion device, the second phase conversion device, and the third phase conversion device (1, 1, 1) so that: when the absolute value of a voltage target value for alternating current is greater than the direct current voltage of each of the direct current units, the DC/DC conversion circuit (10) is operated so that the absolute value of the voltage target value is achieved, and the single-phase power conversion circuit (11) is set to a state in which only the necessary reversal of polarity is performed; and, when the absolute value of the voltage target value is less than the direct current voltage, operation of the DC/DC conversion circuit (10) is stopped and the single-phase power conversion circuit (11) is operated so that the voltage target value is achieved. |
