PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a measurement device to be worn by a user without requiring troublesome adjustment, to perform measurement without causing the wearing user to feel inconvenience or discomfort, to discriminate accurately between mastication and utterance, thereby to highly accurately detect a mastication state of the user in daily life.SOLUTION: Sensor units 2R, 2L are attached on right/left temples 1R, 1L of a glasses-type wear device 1 respectively. A motion sensor and a sound sensor incorporated in the sensor units 2R, 2L measure a motion in a periphery of ears and a mastication motion sound transmitted in the periphery of the ears following a user's mastication motion. The size and cycle of the motion measured by the motion sensor and the size and cycle of the mastication sound measured by the sound sensor are compared with a threshold of a determination rule predetermined based on a mastication motion model, to determine the user's mastication motion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
