PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a shifter to be positively held at a prescribed gear change position when a speed changer is not operated while a speed changing operation accompanied by an operation of the speed changer is carried out in a superior manner.SOLUTION: This invention comprises: a supporting shaft 17 formed with a plurality of position setting engaging grooves 22 while being set in different positions in an axial direction; a shifter 20 supported in outer fitted state to the supporting shaft under a slidable state as a gear changing element 14 is operated; a ball 24 internally installed in an insertion hole 23 formed at the shifter 20 along a radial direction and freely entered and engageable with an engaging groove 22; and an operating state changing-over mechanism 25 enabling the ball 24 to be removed from the engaging groove only when the gear changing element 14 is operated, allowing a sliding operation of the shifter 20 to be carried out, restricting a removal of the ball 24 from the engaging groove 22 when the gear changing element 14 is not operated and preventing the sliding operation of the shifter 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
