Disclosed are a digital data sending and receiving method and apparatus based on a composite video signal. The data sending apparatus comprises a mapping unit for mapping a digital code stream provided by a digital data source into video data for synthesizing a composite video signal; a composite video signal coding unit for receiving video data for synthesizing the composite video signal from the mapping unit and generating an analogue composite video signal according to a pre-determined composite video system requirement; and a composite video transmission interface for transferring the analogue composite video signal. In the present invention, the digital data is "disguised" as video data in a traditional composite video signal, such that the digital data including a high-definition digital video signal is directly transmitted by using a traditional composite video interface and a composite video transmission channel. Compared with the prior art, the present invention has advantages that the high-resolution video monitoring can be realized, the cost is low, the mounting is simple, the maintenance is convenient and the compatibility is strong. |
