Disclosed is a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal, wherein a detachable cover with an aperture part can be mounted, includes: a touch screen; and a control unit forming a boundary region on the touch screen to be corresponded to the aperture part with the touch screen covered by the cover, displaying an object at a second point of the touch screen when a touch at a first point of the boundary region is inputted through the aperture part, and executing an action corresponding to the displayed object when a drag from the touched first point to the second point is performed. According to one embodiment of the present invention, an action of throwing back the cover to release a locking mode is unnecessary, thereby improving user convenience.
