The present invention is intended to obtain a solution for spray dry having high transmittance and markedly reduced generation of undissolved matters. In addition, the present invention is to produce a solid dispersion by using the solution for spray dry so that clogging by the undissolved matter is reduced and dissolution is improved. More specifically, provided is a solution for spray dry comprising hypromellose acetate succinate (HPMCAS) having a hydroxypropoxy molar substitution of 0.40 or more, a solvent, and a drug. Also provided is a method for producing a solid dispersion comprising at least a process of removing the solvent from the solution for spray dry.
