POST-PROCESSING METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR VOXEL-BASE ANALYSIS AND TEXTURE ANALYSIS IN RADIOLOGIC AND DIGITAL MEDICAL IMAGE READING ENVIRONMENT

The present invention relates to a method and a system for post-processing a medical image in radiology and a digital image reading environment. The method and the system include: (a) a step in which a reading workstation requests for medical image information of a patient currently displayed in a DICOM viewer via a PACS; (b) a step in which the reading workstation receives the medical image information of the patient for post-processing a result from the PACS; (c) a step in which a storage module of the reading workstation encrypts the received medical image information and stores the information as a file; (d) a step in which an analysis module of the reading workstation decrypts the encrypted file and analyzes the decrypted medical image information; and (e) a step in which a processing module post-processes the medical image information analyzed by the analysis module. In this way, a file conversion module and the analysis module of the present invention provides the method and the system for post-processing the medical image which are capable of performing a pixel analysis and an image texture analysis in an area of interest in the window based radiology and the digital image reading environment faster than an existing method.
