The present invention provides an electronic apparatus and a method for controlling the same. In accordance with the electronic apparatus and the method for controlling the same, a characteristic point is extracted from an image photographed through a camera, an image photographed based on the characteristic point is converted into a three-dimensional (3D) image, second position information is obtained by correcting the first position information received in accordance with the movement displacement of the camera and a target direction through a position information module, an aerial view is extracted from the 3D image using the movement displacement of the camera and the target direction, a movement route of the vehicle is estimated using the lane position included in the aerial view and a second position information, and the photographed image is combined with the movement route of the vehicle to be displayed as an augmented reality. According to the present invention, accurate position information can be provided when the vehicle is moving. |
