PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article having a deodorant and antibacterial function in an absorber itself, excellent in productivity, and excellent in shape retention after absorbing water.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 200 includes a surface sheet 2, a back sheet 6, and absorbers 4a and 4b included between the surface sheet and the back sheet. The absorbers contain metallic ion-containing cellulose fibers, containing ion of at least one kind of metal element selected from the group comprising Ag, Au, Pt, Pd, Ni, Mn, Fe, Ti, Al, Zn and Cu to oxidation cellulose fibers having a carboxyl group or a carboxylate group on the front face.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
