ELECTROLYTE FOR NON-AQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE BATTERY AND NON-AQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE LITHIUM BATTERY

This electrolyte for a non-aqueous electrolyte battery uses an electrolyte for a non-aqueous electrolyte battery containing a non-aqueous organic solvent and at least lithium hexafluorophosphate as a solute, the electrolyte being characterized by containing 10-1000 mass ppm of a phosphorous-containing acidic compound and 0.01-10.0 mass% of difluorophosphate therein. It is preferable that said phosphorous-containing acidic compound be at least one compound selected from the group consisting of HPF6, HPO2F2, H2PO3F, and H3PO4. The present invention uses said electrolyte, and is thus capable of providing a non-aqueous electrolyte lithium battery in which high discharge capacity can be maintained even if the battery is repeatedly charged and discharged in a high temperature environment.
