PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which unnecessary management occurs since the job state cannot be grasped when notification from a printer that cannot be directly accessed cannot be received in a case where management of the job is performed on the basis of the notification.SOLUTION: A print server comprises: generation means which generates a program for performing an instruction to make a printer execute processing of a print job and notification about processing situation of the print job to the print server with execution of a client terminal when receiving a print request to the printer from the client terminal, and transmits the program to the client terminal; reception means which receives the notification from the printer; and monitoring means which monitors the print job whose execution is instructed to the printer by using the notification received by the reception means. The monitoring means finishes monitoring of the print job whose processing is instructed to the printer when the next notification is not received even if a prescribed period of time elapses from reception of the previous notification from the printer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
