PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high maintainability in a surge protecting device.SOLUTION: A surge voltage absorption apparatus comprises at least three surge absorption parts (60) corresponding to a three-phase voltage, and one of the surge absorption parts includes: a first surge voltage absorption element (102 in SPD73) that becomes a conducting state when both voltages are equal to a predetermined voltage or more; a first surge voltage absorption circuit (73) that can be inserted into both two lines in which a surge voltage is generated; a second surge voltage absorption element (102 in SPD74) that becomes the conducting state when both voltages are equal to a predetermined voltage or more; a second surge voltage absorption circuit (74) that can be inserted into both two tracks; and a second relay contact (24) that, in an ON state, inserts the second surge voltage absorption circuit into both two lines. The surge voltage absorption apparatus further includes a control circuit that sets the second relay contact (24) to the ON state in the surge absorption parts when any consumption state in the first surge voltage absorption circuit is detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
