The present invention addresses the problem of providing a modified ethylenic polymer having exceptional adhesiveness and mechanical strength, and the use of the same. This modified ethylenic polymer is characterized in that at least part of the ethylenic polymer is graft modified by an unsaturated carboxylic acid or derivative thereof, the graft modification level is within a range of 0.15 wt.% to 0.40 wt.%, and the amount eluted at 80°C or lower in cross-fractionation chromatography is 10 wt.% or less.
