PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silent chain for assuring a degree of freedom in design about a parts size, improving a chain intensity against a chain tensile force and at the same time restricting a chain wearing elongation.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a silent chain 10 connecting a plurality of link plates 20, 30, 40 arranged in a chain longitudinal direction and in a chain width direction by connecting pins 50 in such a way that they can be folded. There are provided a plurality of plate longitudinal rows A to C having link plates 20, 30, 40 arranged in the chain longitudinal direction. At least one of the plurality of plate longitudinal direction rows A to C includes a plate 20 having a plurality of protrusions with the protrusions 22 being protruded from one side surface of a plate part 21 in the chain width direction. In this silent chain 10, the plates 20 having the plurality of protrusions are arranged while being adjacent to each other in the chain longitudinal direction under a state in which orientations of the protrusions 22 in the chain width direction are made different from each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
