PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical relay system using an efficient optical transmission method without need of steady signal demodulation of an unnecessary signal.SOLUTION: The optical relay system includes: M mobile stations 11; N relay stations 13 (where N, M are integers of 2 or greater, satisfying N≥M); and a demodulation unit 14 which receives a signal from the relay station 13. The relay station 13 performs signal processing on the received reception signal using a signal processing circuit 8, and then converts into an optical signal using an E/O conversion device 9, to transmit the optical signal through an optical line 19 composed of an optical fiber cable. The optical relay system further includes an optical router 4 for selecting and transmitting M optical signals, which include signals respectively corresponding to broadcast waves transmitted from M mobile stations, to transmit the output of the optical router 4 to the demodulation unit 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
