The present invention proposes an apparatus and a method for controlling the registration of a mobile device in an AVN system for a vehicle, which register a mobile terminal in the AVN system for a vehicle based on a terminal authentication window including a first button for receiving terminal registration and a second button for cancelling terminal registration outputted to the mobile terminal, and a terminal authentication window including the second button outputted to the AVN system for a vehicle. According to an embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for controlling the registration of a mobile device includes a registered terminal determining unit which determines whether a mobile terminal is registered; a terminal authentication window output unit outputting a terminal authentication window including a first button for receiving terminal registration and a second button for cancelling terminal registration to the mobile terminal, and a terminal authentication window including the second button outputted to the AVN system for a vehicle when it is determined that the mobile terminal is not registered; and a mobile terminal registration unit registering the mobile terminal in the AVN system when a signal for the first button is input from the mobile terminal, and not registering the mobile terminal in the AVN system when a signal for the second button is input from the mobile terminal or a signal for the second button is input to the AVN system. |
