PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable rising of a medium supported on a support surface to be suppressed in accordance with a size and a shape of a thick portion of the medium provided with the thick portion.SOLUTION: A medium support unit 2 comprises: a support surface 7 capable of supporting a medium; a recessed section 11 capable of making a part of the medium supported on the support surface 7 be recessed with respect to the support surface 7; and an adjustment section 8 capable of changing a size of the recessed section 11 by changing a state of a first region 11a in the recessed section 11. By a configuration described above, rising of the medium supported on the support surface can be suppressed in accordance with a size and a shape of a thick portion of the medium provided with the thick portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
