PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preventive or therapeutic agent of peptic ulcer with less side effects, to provide a food additive for prevention or therapeutics, and to provide an iNOS expression inhibitor and COX-2 expression inhibitor.SOLUTION: The invention provides a preventive or therapeutic agent of peptic ulcer containing Euglena-derived substance as an active ingredient. The Euglena-derived substance is Euglena, paramylum or paramylum acid-treated material obtained by treating the paramylum with acid. It is used for the prevention or therapeutics of peptic ulcer caused by psychogenic stress. The peptic ulcer is gastric ulcer.
