The present invention relates to a wheelchair brake system and, more particularly, to a wheelchair brake system wherein, during a normal time, such as when the occupant has risen from the wheelchair, the system operates in a brake locked state, and the brake is automatically released only when the occupant sits in the wheelchair or when the wheelchair has been folded such that the occupant can move only when sitting in the wheelchair, thereby preventing a falling accident that could occur when the occupant gets in and out of the wheelchair. |
